A 26-year-old man, who was arrested for making over 2,000 pirated DVDs of the latest movies, including ones with pornographic content, has been booked under the Goondas Act, police said today.
Mustafa was arrested on July 28 near a bus-stop at Arumbakkam area on a tip-off by a special team of the anti-piracy cell.
He was arrested and lodged in the Puzhal Central Prison, where the order detaining him under Goondas Act was served on him yesterday.
Investigations revealed that he has made fake DVDs of latest Tamil movies, including "Baahubali", "Papanasam" and "Romeo Juliet" and pornographic content CDs using digital equipment and supplied them to various parts of the city.
