A 20-year-old man, carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 on his arrest for his alleged involvement in attempt to murder cases, was arrested along with his associate, the police said today.
The accused, identified as Sumit and Harsh, are residents of Bajitpur Thakran in outer Delhi, they added.
With their arrest, the police claimed to have solved three cases of attempt to murder and one case of the Arms Act.
On October 13, 2017, a man named Nishant, a resident of Bawana, alleged that while he was sitting at the gate of his house, Sumit, along with his two associates Bhushan and a minor, came on a motorcycle and began firing at him, following which the complainant sustained bullet injuries, said Rajneesh Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini).
In another incident, on October 22, 2017, when one Sonu and his two friends were going for an evening walk, the accused, Sumit, and his associate Bhushan came on a bike and opened fire at him and he sustained bullet injuries. Subsequently, Bhushan was arrested. Since Sumit was evading the arrest, he was declared a proclaimed offender and a cash reward of Rs 25,000 was declared on him, he said.
In another incident, on July 25, three men came on a motorcycle and entered in the Olympia Gym at Bajitpur village and fired at one Dushyant.

On August 4, based on a tip off, a trap was laid near Beri Baag, Pooth Khurd. Subsequently, Sumit was arrested and a country-made pistol and three live cartridges were recovered from his possession, the DCP said.
During interrogation, the accused disclosed the name of his associate Harsh, who was also arrested, Gupta added.
