A man climbed atop a tower that transmits electricity and threatened to commit suicide before the police managed to bring him down in Bundu area of Ranchi district today.
The man, identified as Buddhu, climbed the tower in the wee hours and stayed there the whole day and threatened to jump off, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Surendra Kumar Jha said.
Prima facie, he said, the man was mentally disturbed and the police were trying to find out the reason behind the incident.
