A 65-year-old farmer allegedly committed suicide at his house after hanging his mentally unsound daughter near Palladam in Tirupur district, today.
The farmer's son staying some distance away, noticed the front door of the house locked this morning. He alerted the neighbours and they peeped in through the window to find the man hanging from a ceiling fan.
His 32-year-old daughter was also found hanging in another room, police said.
