Man commits suicide by jumping in front of train in UP

A 47-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a speeding train near Nehru Nagar level crossing today.

SHO Kavinagar, Ashok Shishodia said that some onlookers informed police that the man committed suicide near Nehru Nagar railway level crossing by jumping in front of the speeding train.

Police reached the spot and found a Wagon-R car parked near the railway crossing.

Later, the deceased was identified as petrol pump owner Parminder Garg, a resident of Nehru Nagar colony.

His family members told police that Garg was under depression and drove away from home around 5.30 AM.

The body has been sent for postmortem, the SHO added.
