A driver at the seed production office of an agricultural institution here allegedly committed suicide citing harassment by two officers, police said today.
Dnyandeo Khandare (55) hanged himself at the godown of the seed production office at Wani village under Manju police station limits near here yesterday, they said.
He apparently left a suicide note which purportedly mentioned that he was fed up with the mental torture and insult meted out to him by two officers of the seed production office.
The deceased also mentioned that he had not got salary for the last three months, police said.
Murtizapur sub-divisional officer Nandkumar Kale said an in-depth inquiry would be conducted into the incident.
