Man commits suicide due to financial crisis in UP

A 38-year-old city-based businessman allegedly committed suicide after suffering a loss in his business, police said today.

Manoj Gupta, a resident of Awas Vikas Colony in the city, was into a business of supply of building materials. He had suffered a loss in the business and due to financial crunch, his wife, along with their two children, had left home, they said.

Troubled by these developments, he hanged himself to death from the ceiling fan at his house yesterday, police said.

In another incident, a 32-year-old woman, Ruchi Gupta, allegedly committed suicide after a quarrel with her husband in Gunjan area here, police said.
 

Her family members have accused her husband of forcing Ruchi to committed suicide, they said.

Both the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the matters are being probed, police said.
