A 54-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at a cremation ground here today, police said.
The deceased identified as Ram Lubhaya, who was an employee of the municipality here, was found hanging from a hinge against a compound wall at a cremation ground in Kot Ramdas area here, they said.
From the suicide note found at the spot and on basis of preliminary investigation, prima facie it seems that he ended his life due to heavy debt, police said.
The body has been sent for post mortem and investigation is underway, they said, adding statements of the deceased's kin are being recorded.
