A 36-year-old man
allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house in Railway Colony here, police said today.
Anil Kumar Meena, who was working as a salesman of a detergent company, was found hanging at his room yesterday, they said.
Meena's mother told police that he was a drug addict and had borrowed money from several persons, Railway Colony police station SHO Shivraj Gujjar said, adding Meena was under stress due to heavy debt.
No suicide note was recovered from the spot, said Gujjar.
Meena was married for three years and his wife was away at her parents' house when he took the extreme step, the SHO said.
A case has been registered, the SHO said.
