Man critical after being hit by bullet in Faridabad

A man was seriously injured after being hit by a bullet which was fired at another person in the district, police said today.

According to a complaint filed by Dharmvir Dikshit, he was at his dairy when an unidentified youth was waiting for his turn at the counter. He got into an argument with another customer yesterday morning.

As the argument heated up, the youth pulled a country- made pistol and fired at the customer, gazing his arm and hitting another customer, Monu, who was also waiting at the dairy, police said.

Before fleeing from the spot, the accused took away cash worth Rs 10,000 lying in the drawer of the dairy, the complainant said.
 

The injured was referred to Safdarjang Hospital in Delhi and is said to be in serious conditions, Investigating Officer Surendra said.

A case has been registered with Police Station Sarai Khwaja under section 394 of IPC and Section 25/54/59 of Arms Act.
