death today by a truck on NH-83 near Arwal crossing in Town police station area in Bihar's Jehanabad district, the police said.
The deceased, identified as Kamlesh Kumar, was walking by the roadside apparently under influence of liqour when a speeding truck crushed him under its wheels, police said, adding that he died on the spot.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, they said.
The truck driver fled from the spot even as the vehicle has been impounded, police said.
