A 50-year-old man and his 17-year-old daughter were injured when the bike they were riding on was hit by a speeding truck in Vijay Nagar area.
Police said Ram Kumar of Bishrakh in Gautam Budh Nagar district was travelling on the bike yesterday night, along with his daughter, Roni, when the accident took place.
"When Kumar and Roni reached Vijay Nagar near Dundheda, a speeding truck suddenly hit their bike from behind following which the duo fell off the vehicle," a police officer said.
"They were rushed to a nearby hospital where their conditions are said to be critical," the officer said.
A case has been registered against the truck driver and a manhunt has been launched to nab him, he added.
