A man and his daughter were killed while his wife was seriously injured when unidentified assailants attacked them at their house in Shamli town, police said today.
The attack took place last night when the victims were sleeping in their house.
48-year-old Bijendra and his 20-year-old daughter Vaishali were killed in the attack while his 45-year-old wife Suman was seriously injured, SP, Shamli, AK Rai told reporters.
A case has been registered against unknown assailants and the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
The woman has been admitted to a hospital in a serious condition.
