Man deported from London held at IGIA

Gulshan Lal had arrived at the IGI airport as a deportee from London by Virgin Atlantic flight VS 300 and proceeded for immigration for clearance, they said.

The immigartion officer, during document check, found that the passport given by Lal was either the coloured photocopy or forged. Also the UK visa on the passport and the stamp of immigration departure was forged, a senior official said.

Investigation found that one Abdul Moqthadeer, a resident of Hyderabad, was the holder of the passport produced by the accused, police said.

Lal had gone to the UK on another passport via Europe on a short-term tourist visa but he stayed in the UK as an illegal entrant.

 

He had acquired the forged passport from an agent in South Hall, London, who made arrangement of forged passport for him with forged visa and immigration stamp affixed, according to the police.

Lal was deported from UK after for using the forged passport there, police said, adding he has been arrested under various sections of IPC and Passport Act.
