A man was today detained for interrogation after his remote-operated drone fell on the terrace of a private hotel at MRC Nagar here where a foreign national was working out, police said.
Identified as Raj, he lost control of the drone while trying to use the battery-operated equipment to film a social function at a nearby location for an aerial view, they said.
While the foreign national had a narrow escape, the hotel management filed a complaint, following which police registered a case under IPC Sections 287 (negligent conduct with respect to machinery and 336 (Act endangering life or personal safety of others).
