A 46-year-old man was shot dead allegedly by his younger brother after a fight over a petty issue in Bhalswa dairy area of northwest district, police said today.
The deceased has been identified as Gulab Singh, they said.
"The incident took place last night when Gulab along with his three brothers, all having property business, were consuming alcohal at his home. Suddenly a fight broke out between Gulab and Charan Singh over some minor issue," said a senior police official.
"The fight turned ugly after which Singh shot at Gulab and fled the spot," the officer added.
Gulab suffered a bullet injury and he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Police have launched a manhunt to nab Charan Singh, who would be arrested soon and further investigation is on, he added.
