Man dies after falling from overcrowded train at Mandawli

A 55-year-old man today died after he fell from an overcrowded train at Mandawli.

The deceased, identified as Dinesh Kumar, had boarded a train from Mandawli to Buddh Vihar. Police said that he was going to meet his younger daughter who stays in Buddh Vihar.

Police received a call around 12.15 PM today about the incident. Dinesh's son-in-law who was present at the site told police that Dinesh fell from the overcrowded train on the platform and sustained severe injuries, said a senior police officer.

Dinesh died as a result of the fall, police said.

His body has been preserved in the morgue and the autopsy will be conducted tomorrow, said the officer.
