A 55-year-old man apparently died due to ensuing rains after a cloudburst in a forest area in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, police said here today.
Mohammad Ismail Khatana, a resident of Hallan village of Dooru was found dead in the nearby forest area this morning, a police spokesman said.
Khatana's family informed that the deceased had left home yesterday and did not return, he said.
"In the morning, while they were searching for him, he was found dead in the forests of Hallen. The cause of death is believed to be ensuing rains after a cloudburst," the spokesman added.
