Man dies of swine flu at Indore hospital

A 45-year-old man today died of swine flu here, taking the death toll in the city hospitals due to the H1N1 virus infection to 38 this year.

A local resident died during treatment at a private hospital where he was admitted around a month ago, said Asha Pandit, district in-charge of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP).

129 patients have tested positive for the H1N1 virus since January 1. Of them, 38 died, she said.

The deceased included 22 from Indore while the rest were from other districts of Madhya Pradesh and receiving treatment here.
