Man dies of swine flu in Indore; toll rises to 37 this year

A 37-year-old man today died of swine flu taking the toll due to H1N1 virus infection to 37 in the city this year.

The man hailing from Ratlam district died during the treatment at a private hospital where he was admitted seven days back, Asha Pandit, district in-charge of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), said.

She said as of now six persons are being treated for swine flu in different hospitals in the city. Of them, condition of three is critical.

Pandit said 128 patents have tested positive for H1N1 since January 1 this year. Of them, 37 people have died.
 

The deceased include 21 from Indore and rest from other districts who had come here for treatment, she added.
