Man dies of swine flu, nine more tested positive in Jammu

A middle-aged man today succumbed to swine flu at a government hospital here taking the death toll to five in the region, while nine more persons were tested positive for the contagious disease.

"A middle-aged man, who was admitted to our hospital and was tested positive with swine flu, died today," Dr RR Paul Medical Superintendent of Government Medical college hospital in Jammu said.

He said that 24 patients were undergoing treatment at the isolation ward of the hospital. The health department in Jammu said that nine persons were today tested positive with the virus.

"Today we received 43 reports out of which nine have been tested positive with the virus," Dr Baljeet Pathania Director Health service Jammu said.
 

He too confirmed that one swine flu related death has taken place in Jammu hospital.
