A man, who was discharged from AIIMS yesterday, died here with family members claiming that the premier medical institution was responsible for his death and disrupted services today.

Pramod Gupta, a resident of Ashram road in his 30s, had suffered a severe head injury in a road accident and had been admitted in AIIMS trauma centre where he underwent medical treatment for two weeks before being discharged.

However, in the morning, family members brought his body to the hospital claiming that he died at a CRPF camp in the AIIMS Trauma centre premises.

They then created a ruckus at the centre and disrupted services claiming negligence on the part of the hospital administration.

However, AIIMS spokesperson Amit Gupta said Pramod was duly discharged yesterday after being treated at the trauma centre for two weeks.

"Along with prescribing medication, we had also given adequate instructions for home care to the family. He left for home yesterday," he said.
