Man drowns in Chambal river

A 22-year-old man drowned in Chambal river while two others are feared dead in Sarai Chola area of Morena district of Madhya Pradesh, police said today.

Seven men from Gwalior came near the river in Morena district, which is adjacent to Dhoplur, police said.

Ramkumar and Kapil (17) started drowning on which Mahesh (22) and Sonupal (24) went to save them, Dholpur SP Rajesh Singh said, while Mahesh returned the other three got washed away.

Later, Ramkumar's body was fished out and rescue operation is on to save the other two, he added.
