Man duped of Rs 25 lakh by ex-official of private airline co.

Ram Sagar, who runs an aviation school here, wanted to buy an aircraft for training purpose and therefore contacted Delhi-based Manav Singh, who had introduced himself an year back as the Managing Director of a private airline company.

Singh promised Sagar of one four-seater aircraft for Rs 1.30 crore and took advance money of Rs 25 lakh in September last year, Investigating Officer Hari Singh said here.

"However, he did not deliver the aircraft and also refused to return the money following which the victim lodged the FIR against the accused last evening.

"It was also mentioned in the FIR that Singh had already quit his post before making the commitment to Sagar and the complainant came to know of it after giving the advance money," Hari Singh said.

 

No arrest has been made so far in the connection, he added.
