A 22-year-old man was electrocuted after he came in contact with a live high tension wire in Najafgarh's Nangli Sakravati area, police said today.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul and hailed from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, they said.
Yesterday, around 2.30 PM, he was fixing wires in an under-construction building when he came in contact with the live high tension wire hanging precariously above him and was electrocuted, police said.
Police and fire officials were unable to retrieve the body for a long time. After intervention of senior officials of the power department the body was retrieved, police officials said, adding an inquiry into the matter has begun.
