Man electrocuted in North-East Delhi

A 30-year-old man died after coming into contact with an electric wire in North East Delhi's Seelampur area today.

Zubair, while working at a construction site, touched a hanging electric wire, police said, adding that he was a resident of Jharkhand.

"The incident took place at around 7:30 AM today. Zubair was working at a construction site near Buland Masjid. He was carrying a bag of cement when he touched a hanging live wire.

"Locals rushed him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. Investigations are in progress," said a police official.

The body has been sent to Guru Teg Bahadur hospital for post mortem. Zubair is survived by his wife.
