An arrested man has escaped from a police station lock up in Bihar's Begusarai district by scaling the wall, the police said today.
Before escaping, he removed his handcuff with soap kept in the toilet, Teghra police station SHO Ram Swarth Paswan said.
A chowkidar was injured while attempting to capture the man when he escaped last night.

The man was arrested on Friday, on the day of Holi, in an inebriated condition, from Utarua village by the Teyay police outpost personnel, Paswan said.
As Teyay police outpost does not have a lock up, he was handed over to Teghra police station, the SHO said.
Police are conducting raids to arrest him.
