Two assailants today fired upon a man near Ghugus, around 30 km from here, this morning, police said today.
Sayyad Iliyas, the complainant, said the assailants who came on a bike caught up with his car and fired two rounds from a revolver, however he ducked and escaped being hit.
According to him, his rivals in the coal transpiration business were behind the attack.
He identified one of the assailants as Sheikh Haji, a prime accused in the case related to the murder of NCP leader and coal transporter Tirupati Pol.
