Man gets 10 year rigorous imprisonment for raping married woman in Telangana

A local court on Wednesday sentenced a 45-year-old man to 10 year rigorous imprisonment for raping a woman in 2009.

Karimnagar Principal Sessions Judge G Anupama Chakravarthi convicted Madugala Raju for raping the married woman at her house in November 2009.

The police registered a case based on the woman's complaint and carried out an investigation.

The judge sentenced the accused to 10 year rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 25,000.

The judge also ordered that the fine amount be paid to the victim as compensation.
