The Additional Sessions Judge Rajiv Srivastava sentenced Rajiv Kumar, a native of Siur village, to 10 years RI after finding him guilty of raping a pregnant woman in the village on May 5, 2010.
The man was caught by the villagers after the victim raised an alarm and handed over the police.
Kumar fell unconscious in the court as soon as he heard the verdict.
