A man was sentenced to death by a court here for killing his mother-in-law and brother-in-law.
Death sentence awarded by local court is subject to the confirmation of High Court.
In June 2013, Jugal set afire his mother-in-law Chameli and brother-in-law Deepchand in Ajnaura village in Banpur area, prosecution said here.
Chameli and Deepchand were admitted to the district hospital where they died.
In his dying declaration before a magistrate, Deepchand had accused Jugal of setting them on fire, prosecution said.
After hearing both the sides additional district and sessions judge Harkesh Kumar held Jugal held guilty.
The court today awarded capital punishment to the accused.
