"When the victim's father came at the designated spot, Khan and the boy were not there. Khan took the boy and later killed him and dumped his body in a water-tank in Navi Mumbai. He then fled to his village in Uttar Pradesh. Police traced Khan and apprehended him from his village," the court was informed.
According to the prosecution, the victim's father owed Rs 45,000 to Khan and hence he murdered the boy.
