Additional Session Judge Manjinder Singh also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on Kuldip Singh.
According to the FIR, Kuldip had abducted the minor girl of Possi village on August 24 last year.
The hearing of the case started on January 22, while charges were framed the next day. Hearing of witnesses took place on January 24 and decision was announced today by the court.
The judge, however, acquitted Kuldip's father Kishan Lal and mother Bhajan Kaur in the same case.
