An unidentified man died at the Alwar railway station this evening after he slipped, while boarding a moving train, and got trapped between the platform and the train, police said.
The incident happened around 5 PM when Jaisalmer-Ramnagar Ranikhet Express arrived at Alwar station and the man got down to buy a bottle of water, they said.
"In the meantime, the train started moving and the passenger rushed to catch the train but he slipped and got trapped between the platform and the train," head constable of Alwar GRP railway station Kailash chand said.
He died on the spot and the process is on to identify him, he said.
