Police today registered a rape case against one person, employed as the driver of the Social Welfare Department here, after a woman filed a complaint alleging him of developing a sexual relation on pretext of marriage.
The 30-year-old woman of Adarsh Nagar colony here filed complaint yesterday alleging that accused Rajender had been involved in a sexual relation with her for the past two-and-half years promising her marriage, police said.
The woman further alleged that recently when she insisted on marriage, Rajender tried to sidestep the issue forcing her to file a complaint with the district police chief, they said.
Police were looking for the accused and a medical test of the woman were scheduled to be done soon, they added.
