A man who allegedly hacked to death his co-tenant, said to be the paramour of his former and present wife, has been arrested after dodging police for months.
The accused, identified as Arshad Ali, allegedly stabbed Ramjan Ali to death in northeast Delhi's Khajuri Khas area in September last year. The duo shared an accommodation there and worked as autorickshaw drivers, police said today.
A team formed to nab Arshad finally arrested him yesterday from a broom manufacturing unit in southwest Delhi's Nasirpur area, where he was working as a labourer, said DCP (Northeast) AK Singla.

Arshad told police he had hacked Ramjan to death on September 22, 2015, and fled.
"He claimed Ramjan was involved in an affair with his first wife and held him responsible for their separation. When he came to know that Ramjan was in an illicit relationship with his second wife as well, he lost his temper and committed the crime," a senior official said.
