Police have arrested a man involved in a relationship with a 15-year-old girl, who was killed allegedly by her father for honour, in Charthawal town here.
In a suspected case of honour killing, the minor girl was murdered yesterday allegedly by her father who was against her relationship with the man.
On the basis of a complaint filed by the girl's uncle, a case was registered against the man for assault with the intent to outrage her modesty, Circle Officer Shivraj Singh said.
He was later arrested, the CO said.
Meanwhile the security in the area has been tightened and extra police personnel have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident.
