Man held for carrying bullet in bag at Delhi's IGI

A Hyderabad-bound man was today apprehended at the Delhi airport for allegedly carrying a live bullet, an official said.

N Raju was going through the security checks at the Indira Gandhi International Airport around 3 am when a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel detected a "bullet-like object" in his hand baggage, said the official.

"A live bullet round of 8mm calibre was recovered after the man was frisked throughly. He was handed over to the police as he could not produce valid documents for carrying the ammunition," he added.

The man was supposed to take a flight to Hyderabad, he said.
