A 27-year-old man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in incidents of chain snatching and motor vehicle theft, police said today.
The accused Narendra Singh was arrested on Sunday following a complaint by a woman whose chain was snatched by a motorcycle borne duo at Palam Dabri bus stop, Additional Commissioner of Police (South) A K Ojha said.
Following the woman's complaint, checking was intensified and Singh was arrested. During interrogation, the motorcycle was also found to be stolen.
Three gold chains and two stolen motorcycles were also recovered from him, Ojha said, adding that a case has been registered against him.
Singh had earlier been arrested for several chain snatching and motor vehicle theft incidents after which he was jailed for two months.
