A man from Andhra Pradesh,wanted in several cheating cases in South India,was arrested today by Railway Police for allegedly impersonating a CB-CID official and duping a man from Kerala of Rs 10,000.
Police said the man, identified as one Sunil Sahu from Vijayawada,had stopped one Rajan,who had come here from Kerala yesterday morning, identified himself as a CB-CID officer and asked him to "hand over" the money he was carrying with him.
Rajan was asked collect the amount from the police station "after showing proper documents."

He then lodged a complaint with Railway Police.
This morning, Railway Police noticed a man moving around in a suspicious manner at a platform. On being questioned, he reportedly confessed to having taken the money from Rajan.
Police said the man, who knew several languages, had cheated youths from North India at various railway stations and had cases pending against him in Bengaluru, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
Sahu was produced before a local court and remanded to custody, they said.
