Man held for murder of B.Tech student in 2011

Police today arrested a man from a market here in connection with the murder of a B.Tech student in Vrindaban over two years ago.

Accused Hari Om of Ferozabad, had been evading arrest for long and took shelter at Nainana Jat Sadar Bazaar in Agra, SP (crime) Ashok Kumar said, adding a stolen motorbike, a country -made pistol and two live cartridges were seized from him.

The accused has confessed that he, along with his two associates Suraj alias Salauddeen and Sukaiya Yadav, killed the student from Noida on July 23, 2011 and looted his motorbike, mobile phone and Rs 2,500 in cash when he was returning home from his college in Agra.
 

He has also confessed to his involvement in dozens of loot, murder and kidnapping case, the SP said, adding that his associates would be arrested soon.
