A 40-year-old man from Bhiwandi was today arrested for allegedly pouring boiling tea on his daughter, who sustained burn injuries, police said.
The accused Ravindra Joshi, lived with his wife and three daughters, a senior police official said.
According to the complaint by his 18-year-old daughter, Joshi was annoyed with her and other family members for not taking him to a doctor for treatment of piles.

Joshi, who was jobless, quarrelled with the kin on numerous occasions on this issue, said the officer.
It was on August 6 at around 9.30 am, Joshi quarrelled with one of his daughter and poured boiling tea on her, he said.
A case under sections 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code was registered at the Narpoli police station, he said.
