A 37-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly running a fake Human Rights Commission office near here.
Acting on a complaint, police detained B S Babu, who claimed to be the Youth Wing Secretary of Human Rights Commission, Tiruvalluvar district, a police release said.
Investigations revealed that he cheated several people by running the fake Human Rights Commission office at suburban Thirumullaivayal over the last six months.
He was arrested yesterday and produced before a local court which remanded him to police custody.
