A 43-year-old man has been taken into police custody for allegedly showing a pornographic video clip to a six-year-old female kindergarten student of a private school in Ambajipeta locality of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, police sources said here today.
S Srinivas (43) who runs a private school, namely Vyshanavi English Medium School at Ambajiepta, allegedly showed a pornographic video clip to the girl on this cellular phone, about 15 days ago, the Amalapuram Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ankaiah told PTI.
The girl studied in the kindergarten run by the same school, the police souces said.
Her father lodged a complaint at the Ambajipeta police station limits.
"On the basis of his complaint we have taken Srinivas into custody," the DSP said.
A case under the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offence Act (POSCO Act) 2012 has been registered, the DSP said, adding that Srinivas would be produced in court tomorrow.
