Man held with 350 swords

Police toady seized a haul of 350 swords from a load auto, which were being taken for sale in illegal weapons market and arrested a 60-year-old man at Ambaliya village in the district, an official said.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested one Narsing when he was carting off 350 swords hidden in bedrolls in the load auto, Gautampura police station inspector Ashutosh Bagdi said.

He said the accused, who originally hails from Mandsaur district, was on his way to sell the swords when he was caught.

The inspector said Narsing told police that three more persons were also involved in the crime.
 

"We are searching for them," Bagdi said, adding that the investigation is on.
