Gurpreet Singh (28), a resident of Alipur, was arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi police on Tuesday after police learnt that Singh, who is supplying opium in Delhi and Punjab, would be coming to bus stop, Shani Mandir Chowk, NH-1, New Delhi, to deliver a consignment of opium to one of his contacts.

"A trap was laid there and he was apprehended with 5 kg of fine opium, after which a case under NDPS Act was registered against him," said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.
