The 35-year-old man, travelling by a state-owned APSTRC bus, was found to be carrying a pistol, two live cartridges and a knife when his baggage was scanned at Alippery checkpoint, at the start of the ghat section of the road leading to Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateswara.
