A person was arrested with one pistol and 44 cartridges in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu district, police said here today.
"Acting on a tip-off, Special Operation Group of Rajasthan Police arrested Anil, a resident of Sikar district, at Jhunjhunu bus stand late last night with the arms which he had brought from Bihar," ADG ATS Alok Tripathi said.
He has been an active member of a gang run by notorious criminal Anil Pandya, who is currently lodged in a jail in Churu, he said.
"Pandya gang was loosing its influence in Shekhawati region after the arrest of the gang leader and the illegal arms were being brought so that the group can target their rivals in the region," Tripathi said.
