In a major catch, police today arrested a man allegedly involved in manufacturing a banned narcotic drug and seized 100 kg of raw material, weapons and Rs 5 lakh in cash, a senior official said.
"Acting on a tip-off, police raided a place in Nagarchi Bakhal area in the city and seized 100 kg raw material used for making smack by arresting a person identified as Maqbool Khan," said Ujjain SP, Anurag.
Police also seized four revolvers, 70 live cartridges and Rs 5 lakh in cash from him, he said.
"We are questioning Khan to find out about his network and links in the illegal trade," the SP added.
