One person was arrested in Jalpaiguri district for allegedly trying to smuggle tokay geckos, a forest department official said on Friday.
Three tokay geckos were seized from the person from Nagrakata area of the district, Ranger of Garumara South range Ayan Chakraborty said.
The man was also carrying a dead gecko, a reptile.
People in various east Asian countries believe Geckos can provide super-natural power.
